Family: Anemones are members of the Ranunculaceae (buttercup) family.

What’s in a name: The name 'Anemone' comes from the Greek word for wind. It is said that the goddess Flora was jealous of her husband's attentions towards the nymph Anemone and so transformed her into the wind flower and left her at the mercy of the North Wind.

Why we love it: Anemones are fantastic in all sorts of arrangements from bridal bouquets to arrangements that brighten up the home. With a variety of vibrant colours appearing though out the season there is bound to be one you love.
